This sand is rated as one of the top ten white sands in the world with a silica content in excess of 99% . This, together with, smooth rounded particle shape and inert neutral balance in water makes the sand an ideal product for all marine aquarium inhabitants, but in particular as a substrate for sensitive catfish barbels. Unlike many sands, the fine grading of our white sand ensures that there are no harsh "gritty bits" and the sand is "soft" to the touch.
