Description & Application

UK sourced Pure Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃) in the form of natural cockle shells. Provides a high surface area biofilter media for natural ponds.

The shells have been washed and allowed to naturally weather, no artificial cleaning has been carried out.

These shells have been specified and used as a substrate for "Green Roofs". For structural calculations 1m3 is likely to weigh around 600kg.
